I'm hearing reports on twitter that Eric Brown, probably Britains best test pilot, has died at the age of 97. Using the word legend is no hyperbole for this man who flew pretty much all there was to fly during WWII and its aftermath. British avitation owes a great deal to this man who had many close scrapes with death and yet always came through.
