Hi!

Next to liking subs, I'm a huge boardgame fanatic. I recently found this kickstarter for a game called U-boat leader, as well as Gato-leader. U-boat leader is getting its 2nd edition, so there are already some reviews from the first edition in case you are interested.

These are solitary (1 player) wargames. I haven't played these, but I've played others by the same designer (Hornet Leader, Thunderbolt Apache Leader) and really like those.

I thought I would spread the news in case there are more people that might be interested, as the games can be hard to find, as its a very small publisher.

Hope it's useful!

Funny you should mention this. I was looking at http://www.consimpress.com/silent-victory.

Ever try that one? I'm glad the kickstarter one made their goal.

Actually I'd be interested in a sub board game for android but it seems all they have are 3d ones.

james, if you give Silent Victory a go, let me know if you want to write up a review. I did a board game called Silent War (http://www.subsim.com/ssr/silent_war/review_silent_war.php) some years ago, it was very complicated but seemed to be a solid game.

Here's one based on the Jules Verne novel, "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea". It's got a lot of great reviews and I picked it up recently but haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Victory Point Games is a small USA based company that has been quite successful and is now expanding into doing better component quality games and looks like they had a kickstarter for the 2nd edition of "Nemo's War" that went very well. Here's a review of the 1st edition and another video showcasing the 2nd:

Forgot to mention it's a solitaire game.
