I am doing everything right or so I thought but I can't seem to get the 3 numbers that come from the submarine in most youtube videos/tutorials I see. I am using the attack periscope and everything... please help. Thanks!

I'm a bit confused by what you mean by "3 numbers", are you talking about numbers like AOB, range, etc? or are you talking about the numbers that appear on the solution line in the circles on the map?
also need to know if your using any mods, esp UI mods like NewUIs_TDC_ByTheDarkWraith. If you are using this mod and are talking about the numbers in circles then all you have to do is enable it on the minimap and/or nav map by clicking on the options in top left on the nav map or bottom right on the minimap and checking the box for "round numbers on solution line"
If you are talking about AOB, range, etc then check out the many tutorials on auto/manual TDC on this site. I've been through a couple of youtube videos but none of them seem to work like the tutorials on this site.

No, horraygaming is referring to the 3 numbers found on the torpedo line and the 3 numbers showing the targets course.
You match the numbers up, and fire your torpedoes, it is a simple way of point and shoot gaming.
This would be the default 'Low' Campaign realism setting.
