Enemy aircraft

Heading to my AO in Mid Atlantic, about 300 miles SW of Lands End I get attacked by 2, either Hurricanes or Spits ,I did,nt know they had a range that far out , was that possible ? The date is May 1942. Good Hunting to All H

Reinhard,Hurricanes have range 700 miles, although, depending on the model, average speed, and whether additional fuel drums

And me once, near the Azores,on the way US east coast. greeted me properly, but I think there is a base :)
