What a vile person! :nope:

Good response from Kilroy's bar and glad the old lady in question survived.

Do you people have any idea how hard it is to get a sitter and reservations? on New Year's Eve???????

That woman could have picked any of the other 364 days to have her heart attack. :03:

I'm not at all surprised and I don't doubt the incident happened. If you live in a large, cosmopolitan city like NY, SF, LA, etc., the sort of behavior exhibited by the idiot in the story is not at all uncommon. I really do feel for the poor stricken lady and am glad she survived. The actions of the bar manager were, I believe, rather restrained; if it had been me, I would have given the EMTs another patient to deal with. If I lived in Indianapolis, I'd make a special effort to patronize Kilroy's...

As for the idiot, she's about to get a really good dose of kharma. I don't buy her "my account was hacked" excuse since it is the most used excuse by those who have been hoisted by their own Twitter petard. I have no empathy for the uselessly pathetic...

So her facebook account was "hacked"? Well how did the "hacker" know that she was in a restaurant with a 70 year old having a heart attack at that very moment. Hmmm. :hmmm:

I'm sure there is a special place for an individual such as this.

meh, wretched woman but the internet backlash against her is the epitome of bullying, the people bashing her (causing her to lose her job? her livelihood?), it's over the top. i hope she regrets the stupid things she said, but i do not see the necessity of her being fired for expressing her (vile) opinion on her own *private* time.

Life, like physics, is an endless series of actions/reactions. She made the decision to vent on Twitter; she was expecting a reaction; the reaction she got was not what she expected; in venting, she apparently expected to actually get sympathy for her "plight"...

There is an old saying: Sometimes it is better to remain silent have other people think you a fool than to speak and erase all doubt...

I guess "My account was hacked" is the new excuse these days.

I am old enough to remember when dogs did not eat homework.

Did she stop to think about her comment before coming out with that old chestnut I got hacked. Bet not, well there is always Twitter if they will take her.

I don't care at all what kind of opinions my employees (personal assistants) may have as long as they are not in tomorrows newspaper (or similar) with my name next to them.

However in principle I agree with you. Publishing her employer (immediately endangering her job) in first place and especially demands to fire her were unnecessary excessive acts. Public humiliation would have been fair enough.
