Who found mines in Sh5?

I didn't find any mines in the game. Seem's like mines are not in Sh5

I've come across them in two places.

The English Channel, near the narrow point between the UK and mainland Europe. If I remember correctly, they were near the center.

The second place was up near Scapa Flow. Not in the harbor but in the channel area to the south. In fact this is the first time I had ever seen them. I had to submerge because of escorts/destroyers and while sailing underwater I was actually looking for possible "sub nets". In the periscope off in the distance there was something that looked like a black spec. Once I got closer it was clearly a mine attached to a chain that went down to the seabed. They were setup in a row, so it that was easier to deal with than if they had been randomly placed around.

There are no mines in stock game IIRC...OHII will add them.

there are mines in Sh5 if u use TWoS mega mod or sober mod list there are mines near scapa Flow, British channel, Gibraltar and also there is a map which one show u where are the mine placed ......

There are no mines in stock game IIRC...OHII will add them.

I should point out that I have been playing OHII. I have to admit I didn't play the stock/vanilla version long enough to notice it didn't have mines.:oops:

how u can play that buggy vanilla version of the game ?????
i really suggest u to install TWOS and tdw's patcher which one solve 95% of the bugs from the vanilla

In TDW's Options File Editor Viewer there are options in both of the Nav map and TAI map to enable mine fields.

No...Yes...Yes(user charts) *Answers are only valid for OHII or TWoS users...

I know the english channel is mined for sure.

Only place where i found mines or perhaps they were anti submarine nets were in scarpa flow, the same passage prien took historically and thats the same for me when i raided it twice :P

Using OHII as well. Has anyone ever been caught by an anti submarine net? Because when entering scarpa flow i always navigate the windy channel on the surface so im not sure what happens

Well this thread is kinda old but I did encounter them in the english channel in OHII
I was dumb enough to select mare nostrum and i have to go around europe to get into the mediterranean lol
And as i was about to quit, i saved and said, hey lets go see if they work

They don't
I hit one and my boat just pushed it out of the way and it started drifting while rotating like it was a ball lol
It was really anticlimactic

Scapa Flow have many mines in the east entrance!
