Camera?

Two quick questions for the wonderful peeps at Subsim:subsim:

1. What does the event camera do? I see that you can turn it on or off in the options menu.

2. The camera in game external view, It moves fast at the beginning then seems to stop, takes forever to get to the ship that I am trying to recognise or sink. (So i just sink them all anyway :D).

use shift+arrow key and u will move fast and u can catch up your boat

I try to "mod" camera.cam to get a stabilised external following view of SH5.
(My key shift + "," let me see my sub without problem),
i just want to try making this view non following the conning deck with the movement of the sea, i want in fact the same result of SH3.(stabilised external view)
Impossible to find and to have result with camera.cam open with sh3 editor.
I was searchin' answer here by forum thread and reading hours after hours, nada..
