GWX Career stopped loading.

I'm having trouble with my GWX career.

It worked fine for about a week but in my most recent patrol, attempting to load a career save results in a "SH3 stopped working" message on the black screen with the "not so long ago" text (just after the screen with the loading bar).

I'd really appreciate any ideas on how to fix this. Otherwise I really don't see how I can justify continuing a game that just eats save games with 20+ hours sunk into them.

I can still start a new career without crashing.

Almost 100% the reason is a corrupt save. If you save while submerged or right next to a sinking target or surrounded by destroyers, it will almost always result in a corrupted save.

You might also try making those application to run as administrator if you have not already done so.

Trying to load older saves didn't help it so far, but I can back up my saves and go back further to see if it helps.

EDIT: Going back even further helped! So I only lost about 1-2 hours worth of playtime instead of the original 20+. Thanks!

I'm having the same problem. Last GWX save was surfaced with nothing around or near the sub. Started a new career and when loading the SH3 saved mission dumps back to my desktop. I've tried several times and it's a no go. SH3 save folder is in Documents.

I'm wondering if my SH3 save folder should be renamed SH3 GWX to make it work as I have a Vanilla SH3, LSH3 SH3, and NYGM copies in my C:Drive\Games folder. I did try and restart with S3F but that didn't work either.

I did change mods without being in base but deleted that career then restarted a new one. Never had these problems with running SH3 on XP.

This is really frustrating! It happened again, and this time I was unable to load save I know I saved when on the surface and not near any sinking ship.

I lost my sinking of the HMT Aquitania :wah:
