I was just wondering..... did the British navy had few DDs to spare for hunting down one single U-boat?

This looks insane and not real......and everything just for one single tanker......... They are burning more fuel than the tanker was carrying :stare:...

Dunno If I am gonna make it :arrgh!: ......... I can only hear one sound in all directions.....no sonar guy could handle this ._. and I could listen more coming far far away

Well history's #1: Johnny Walker would do a 'creeping attack' with an escort group comprised two sloops (including Stork) and six corvettes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corvettes) Initially his Group was primarily used to escort convoys to and from Gibraltar (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gibraltar)." One highly successful tactic employed by Walker was the creeping attack (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creeping_attack_(naval_tactic)), where two ships would work together to keep contact with a U –boat whilst attacking; a refinement of this was the barrage attack (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrage_attack_(naval_tactic)), which had three or more sloops in line to launch depth charges to saturate the area with depth charges in a manner similar to a rolling barrage by artillery (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artillery) in advance of an infantry attack. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederic_John_Walker (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frederic_John_Walker) read the U-boat death toll and weep!:Kaleun_Crying:

It never mentioned an attack with more than 30 ships though... :hmmm: I bet the British fleet commander left other spots uncovered sending all of those after me

It seems to me that you have met two task forces, combined...Stay deep, speed no higher than 1 kn, SR ON..And they MAY go away after some time... :D

maybe three or four......as I survived till many of them left, but other boats kept on coming......

going deeper? only my sub had some drilling heads instead of torpedo tubes haha as the maximum was only 100m.

Needed to restart from my last save which was before torping that ship. Decided to make it live for another day.

Are you using any mods? This is the first time im seeing nearly 30 ships hunting a single u boat :dead:

The most i ever had was slightly more than 10. Wasnt difficult to evade since i simply dived to 200m in the atlantic :P
