SH4 CTD when game saves go over 5 meg

Title says all. Everytime my game save file goes above 5 meg the file will not load and causes CTD. Using TMO 2.5 with training wheels mod. Very frustrating! Any ideas?

Are you sure This is about the game Save size?
It might be just a coincidence, maybe you saved in the middle of a convoy attack with multiple contacts and While beeing submerged..
If it isn't the case, you might want to re-install your game and try to start a new campaign with no mods installed and see what happens.
I had a carrer starting december 8 1941, ending the last day of the War and I never had such problem..

Are you using just TMOwtw or do you have any other mods installed?

Do you overwrite saves? Save in a new file each time. It's a known issue. The save file is so complex that too many saves will corrupt the file. Start a fresh save while in the office ("fireftr"). Then each save while on patrol, save in a new file ("fireftr1,""fireftr2," etc.).
