View Full Version : Transgender ruling, boy allowed in girl's locker room.

I'm pretty damn liberal, but this is going too far. They gave every accommodation to this trans boy with male parts, but he demanded full access to be in the girl's locker room, shower, dress, etc...

Question is, if this is the future, will all restrooms, locker rooms, etc, just be unisex and would you be OK with it?

Do our children that don't want to see the nakedness or share showers with others of the opposite gender, does this invade their privacy rights?

I'm sure no woman would mind this person being in the restroom with her, of course.

If unisex restrooms had seperate cubicles then I see no problem with it. After all you only remove clothing in the cubicle itself so where's the harm. You'd need the cubicle to run floor to ceiling and have a good internal lock to prevent perverts, but otherwise it should work fine.

We get those in Russia nowadays. So that is fine, but the changing rooms are different I think.

Pha, we used to share one locker room in high school with girls because we'd otherwise have to share the boys locker room with a rival class (and the rival girls we're using the boys locker room).
So we saw eachother in underwear, big deal. My boxer shorts we're clean. No one was raped, no one got pregnant, no one is traumatised today and that one gay in class was gay before high school.

Yes.
Because such seperation was never forced upon me and the first time I saw female genitalia was when I was 5 or 6, reading the family medical manual and I walked away from it un-affected.
I shudder to think what trauma would be caused by my mother freaking out over it.

In this part of the world the future is here. I was at the local university sports complex to watch my grandson play hockey. There it was, a gender neutral washroom. Funny thing is it was just a single user washroom. You go in by yourself and you lock the door. Ah political correctness, it may be correct but it's not efficient.

As long as there is the means for absolute privacy for each individual (lockable cubicle) I wouldn't have thought it should be too problematic.

CMON! YOU could read medical journals at FIVE! Or were u just ogling the pichers? I first saw that at a Star Trek movie...:shucks:and was severely traumatized! https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/29/Sarlacc.jpgBut seriously, the TG- afflicted (technically handcapped-seeking benefits) used to come into my Social Security Appeal Court offices, and under the rules, we gave them their key of preference to the secured (ladies) restroom-The duties of Federal bailiffs are myriad- this was in the early turn of the 21st century before political correctness had fully set in. There were never any problems aside from initial squawks from old-school maven employees. One guy came to the court to resolve his claim four times and always used the ladies room but on the fourth visit:...he erred and (hastily) used the men's room...I 'dutifully' reported it to the ALJ in charge of his case who 'judiciously' cut the benefit 25%! :arrgh!: JUSTI$E occa$ionally prevail$ BBY!

That scene is from star wars, not star trek :O:

the manual was for ordinary folk, mostly layman terms.
And my mother used it for helping me learn to read. At 5 I was still reading by repeating each letter, I admit. The point was there be naked ladies and naked gents in there and I was not traumatised.

Damn, that's from one old book :o
The dialect used in that book is 16th century Slovene.

My mother was never a panicky type, never tried to shield me from the world.
When I was bullied she told me to knock the bullies teeth out. I was a weakling so I failed
Plus she works in healthcare so medicine manuals were the obvious choice.

The ''exposure'' to the opposite gender made me a better person. I'm a perfect gentleman that respects other peoples privacy and I turn my back if a woman is comfortable next to me, but didn't invite me to watch. I Blame it on the fact that naked people were never taboo for me so I find it very un-special and fin dno need to drool ''bewbz'' every time I see breasts.

Taboos create interest. You want your child to become profoundly interested in something ??? Forbid it to him/her !!!!!!

I'm with Betonov on this one. Our family doctor used to leave out a wide variety of magazines and journals in his waiting room and, from as long as I remember to my mid-teens, I used to spend quite a bit of time browsing through tomes such as The New Yorker, National Geographic, Time, Newsweek, etc., not to mention a large number of medical journals, mostly surgical, since our doctor was a pediatric surgeon. I was able to read 2nd grade books and more by the time I was 4 years old, so I was exposed to a lot of interesting material in that waiting room. Along with the encouragement to read I was getting from my grandfather, I credit those hours spent in that waiting room for instilling in me not only a love of reading, but, also, a love of reading very diverse subjects. So, if Betonov says he was perusing med manuals at age 5, I would be inclined to believe him...

That was my mistake.Oh I had no doubt Betonov, an overindulged prince of a son, like myself was into it by 5; I'd polished of the Iliad and Bullfinch's Mythology by 6 myself. The 16 century Slovene dialect only came to me on the golf course, swinging my six iron in the middle of a thunder storm...I knew then: Ben Franklin downright fibbed about the kite experiment; Some Yiddish and a Catalonian dialect came to me as well.:timeout: Mostly I just needed any excuse to post that awful Sarlacc shot!:O:

I was actually lucky with that old med manual.
It had pictures of organs, operations, some injuries but most first aid part was with black and white drawings.
Now the manual I got at my time with the Red Cross, my god, actual photos of actual injuries. That gave me shiwers as an adult, it would have given me nightmares as a child. Do you know when an accident rips your thumb out of your hand, a 30cm ligament is pulled out with it :o

Well, it seems if you just claim now you can be, but I wonder if I claimed to be a black lesbian woman if I could claim minority status, loans, bid projects, etc...Where does the line get drawn on this one. I see Houston voted down a prop on trans using public restrooms in mass, .....so will this end up being a civil rights issue the courts have to deal with for good.

I wonder how a woman would feel if she were in a public restroom alone and a man walked in. This is one of my claims it should be private, because it is a place where a woman could become easy prey to a stronger man, no cams in restrooms, often women alone, clothes off.... not to mention men peeing all over the seat....

Common sense on many levels to keep it separate. I don't see it as a rights issue, because if you have a penis, you have the same rights as other penises to use the same restroom.

I'll ask one the next time I use the ladies room because the mens is under repair/full/stinking like hell. Since there is nothing that can prevent me from entering one.
I can tell you how it feels when a woman walks into a mens room because the ladies room is under repair/full/stinking like hell. Nothing, it feels like nothing. Standard emotional reaction from a man when a woman borrows the mens room is complete not giving a damn.

And we southern slavs have mastered the art of raising the toilet seat :O:

Yeah. Thank God the gender related sign on the door keeps rapists from entering a lady's room to commit a crime.

Oh, trust me, been to the Charlotte Nascar race and the women's restroom always has a line a mile long, because the men's room has a large pan where 50 men stand side by side peeing, eyes shifting hither and yonder seeing where you fit in on the evolution scale..and often women get in the men's line to get to a seat faster. Had to take a poop myself once and waiting for a seat which still is a 30 min wait, not good after 3 hot dogs and 10 beers and standing in line with some hot ladies. Course, you can imagine, toilets clogged, poop coming over the rims, ect... one poor gal you could hear her cussing men in disgust, course she had yet to master the "Charlotte Squat" which is a must if you go to the big race. You could hear her making vomit noises.....a few of the other gals headed for the door....

I'm still against it. My daughter is grown, but often as a kid going out, she went into restrooms alone as I stood out and waited, I know I would feel uncomfortable is I saw a obvious man in a wig go in after her. Women often use the restroom alone, just an easy place to get caught secluded..

Really, what's the beef, if you have a penis, go stand at a stall like a man even if you wear a wig... Has it really come down to where pissing is now a right as long as u have a potty that matches your tool? If it shouldn't bother us what restroom someone uses, why should it bother them?

It's like the trans girl with full male parts in that high school, they allowed him to play girl's sport, use the restroom, gave him a private closet away to change, but not good enough, so they gave him a private room in the locker room......still not good enough, wants the right to change and shower, etc..with the rest of the girls. The school said no, the Feds said yes...or lose Fed money....so they're still fighting over it.

and me, hell I sit down most the time these days, just not worth my wife yelling at me.....if her damn dog drinks out the toilet and dribbles on the seat and floor, I still get the damn blame..

On numerous occasions I have unknowingly used the women's restroom. Where its the small single room type. I'll be in there doing my business thinking "gee this is a really feminine restroom" then I realize it is a feminine restroom. So I then unlock the door and hum "Sweet Transvestite" when I walk out.

Well, I have my own bathroom and I stay in there a lot. Think I once told you my wife often stands at the door asking why it's taking me so long. Once I forgot to lock the door and she marched in and caught me sitting there with my pants on, which now she thinks if I go in there too long, I'm just hiding..

The City of Los Angeles has few of those units installed at various places throughout the city and they seem to work pretty well. I have used one that is just outside a subway station in downtown LA. It was clean and in pretty good order. After each use, some sort of automatic, mechanical process cleans out the interior. There is also a time limit for each use; once the time expires, the door automatically opens, whether the occupant is finished or not. It seems to have been an effective deterrent to uses other than intended. There is also an override the authorities can use for access if they suspect any questionable activity...

I tried to compromise with The Frau. I will leave the seat down... while I pee. That way the seat is always down. She did not like that option either.

Well, the issue seems to be men that believe they're women or want to identify as such feel discriminated or bothered about being in the men's room, so they want the women's room, even with male body parts. However, women feel discriminated or concerned having men in their restrooms with penises. It seems to me the same argument trans are making to use the women's room is the exact same argument women are making to keep them out...

Really, we're being told it shouldn't matter and we should accept them using the women's room, when they are offended to use the men's room..If they're bothered by using the men's room, why should it not bother women wanting men in their room?

I believe the best solution is to do away with all public bathroom facilities and all school sports. From now on everyone wears adult diapers, it somehow seems fitting for the people we have become. Not too mention, the economy's "bottom" line will receive a boost. :D
