First of all I want to state that I am new and have no idea if this has been answered before. If it has I'm sorry please give me a link to the answer if you can.
Now to business. I recently downloaded TMO 2.5 and am loving it, but I need my U-Boats back and want to get OM for the updated visuals and more than 1040 time compression of SH3. I know OM is no longer compatible with TMO 2.5 so my question is should I just download OM to JSGME and enable OM when I want to go hunting in my U-Boats and enable TMO when I want my American boats back, and with the rampant enabling what would that do to my precious save files? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You will be much better off using Multi-SH4 (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=1110).
This will enable you to have two (or as many as you want) different copies of SH4, with all the game saves being in separate locations. You can have each game modded to your liking, with different languages and anything else that makes you smile.
The only downside to this is that it requires a fresh, untouched copy of SH4 to start from, which means that current careers won't work.

Thank you for the quick response, does the multiSH4 work on copies from Steam?

Welcome aboard Holyfirebomb_7! Glad to have you with us. We're all happy to help newcomers. Well, most of are. Okay, some of us are happy to help.
I can't help you with Multi Sh4. I don't use it myself.
You found a great game that is only better with the mods.
Now go wax the boat.

I've never had anything from Steam, but I don't see why it wouldn't. You need to have a clean fresh copy in a safe place, and never use it. copy it to a new folder for each supermod you want to play, and follow the Multi-SH4 instructions. We'll try to help with any problems that may arise.
I personally am extra careful. My prime cope of each game is labeled "SH4 Stock - DO NOT PLAY!!!" This also means that if I accidentally install a file I don't like and forget to change the name of the original, I always have a backup I can copy.

Thank you all for the welcomes, I see why everyone says this is a great community, I have one final question what is the procedure for MultiSH4 on a steam released game, and then installation order of JSGME OM and TMO, If someone has a relevant link to answer my questions that would work perfectly. I'm kinda new to this whole modding thing and I am kinda lost so any help would be appreciated.

Not having anything from Steam, of course I can't help you with that. There are almost certainly many who can. Hopefully you'll get some help with that soon.
and then installation order of JSGME OM and TMO
JSGME stands alone, but should be used after the game is installed.
The point of using Multi-SH4 is to have the different supermods contained in separate installations of Silent Hunter IV. If you do it that way you'll never have to switch between different mods, which saves you a huge amount of time and energy and minimizes the chance of game crashes every time you switch.

I tried MultiSH4 but it did not work, steam seems to not like copies of their games and made it impossible to start the game up, is there any other way that I could have both OM and TMO?

In that case, which makes sense with Steam, you just save the two game configurations with JSGME. Then when you want to switch, press the unload all button. Then press the load button and load up the other. Should be pretty painless.
You WILL have to be very careful about naming your saves to ensure that their name tells you whether you have a TMO or OM game save. Other than that you shouldn't have any issues.

Okay, I usually name my save files based off of the name of my assigned sub so that shouldn't be a problem
Btw Robbins if you're the one on youtube loved your O'Kane tutorial video, so helpful in the beginning
