Those were gruesome shots! Right now the power's just come back on. We've had hail; thunder and torrents of rain. All useful, but the burned out Valley Fire folk have got no ground cover, so slides are an issue.

Tax dollars at work. NOAA's National Weather Service winter weather forecast says it could be a little warmer or, it could be colder in the Wakfield Area.

Right now its warmer and rain today. Thanks El Nino.

We got about an inch of snow this morning. It wont stay, the ground isn't frozen, yet. The temps next week are going to be in the 50's.

I did get the chickens moved into their winter home and the knob off the hill at my neighbours house that was directing snow melt under her house. (Her house is up on piers with no basement.) The loader got greased, too.
Now I am charging one of the two batteries for the grease gun. I will charge the other one tomorrow. I wont leave them on charge over night.

I got the block heater cords run and the remotes set up again so I can turn on the block heaters without going outside. I just have to remember every time I park to plug in.

swamprat69er

I just gotta walk down it and take the big rocks off.
My laneway is all pit run. I am way too cheap to put something good like granular A/class A gravel on it.
The spring after I bought this place I went out the lane through a mud hole sideways (4x4), so that summer I got some gr. A. It all disappeared. So when I bought the Kioti I had ordered 105 tons of gravel (pitrun) for another project and scrounged some off that job to do the driveway. Complete with 4" rocks.
I am putting up another garage in spring and will be ordering another 105 tons of pitrun. Maybe I can con the driver out of a couple of loads of A gravel spread and all I will need to do is shape it and roll it. I do have a roller. It is not a very heavy one (was for sod) but I can roll with that and the Jeep. Then when I bring the Freightliner home roll it again with that.

Betonov

Rims are all right. Maybe a new coating after this winter.

The car part of the wheel joints are the problem. The car is already scrapped, I just haven't drove it to the junkyard yet.
I can't afford another one at the moment and so I'll just have to hope the undercarriage holds.

10:52 PM EST Thursday 19 November 2015
Special weather statement in effect for:

North Bay - Powassan - Mattawa
West Nipissing - French River

Heavy snow likely late Saturday into Sunday morning.
An area of snow is expected to move into Northeastern Ontario late in the day Saturday and continue through the night. The snow will likely be heavy at times and current guidance suggests that 10 to 20 cm/3.9-7.8" of snow may be possible by Sunday morning. Snowfall warnings may be required.

There is still uncertainty in the intensity and track of this system. Environment Canada meteorologists are watching its development closely and will issue further statements or alerts as required.
