View Full Version : SH3 CTD upon loading new career.
Another CTD problem. Basically I have uninstalled SH3, SH3 w/ GWX 3.0 and then reinstalled clean to another folder - particularly my ''This PC - Documents - Folder. I have some of the_frog's awesome ship models installed, I tested each one out after installing one by one (so after I installed one ship, I ran the game for any errors.) and there were no errors. So what makes me question what is happening is that after I did all this, the game crashes upon loading up a new career? I also tried SH3Cmdr but that also had the some consequence. If any of you want my specs, they are as follows below:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4210H CPU @ 2.90GHz
Installed RAM: 8.00 GB
System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Windows/OS: Windows 8.1
By the way: This is most of what was in my ''PC Info'' file.
I reinstalled SH3 to the generic folder in the OS_Install. It worked with LSH3 2015, however upon starting the 2nd patrol it crashed. It was maybe 95% loaded. This game is putting me on the edge - what I mean is that so many CTD's are happening that maybe I just should not play anymore. Its such a great game with such a great mod - but its just going to cause frustration, whats the point?
It specifically happens when I click transfer - the game wanted me to transfer from the training flotilla to the Wilhelmshaven flotilla (2?).
I load it up, 95%n loaded, CTD!

Let us see a snapshot of your current mod load. It might help in figuring out some of the possibilities.
I get a crash in GWX when i load the 1st career mission from Kiel, but not in Wilemshaven.
I have no idea what causes it.
I have no idea how to upload images to subsim, therefore a link to imgur is attached. Keep in mind I have only two mods playing because of the error pop up.
Nevermind guys.
Whatever the problem was, it sorted itself out!
