Did I once see a mod that places an SSN in the pacific ww2 scenario? I thought it might be fun to try, sinking the Yamato from '3 million miles' away sounds like a bit of fun!!!!
A bit like The Final Countdown film (which I have) but with a Los Angeles attack sub.

There are mods available here where you can command a Skipjack, Los Angeles, or Ohio class sub in the Pacific. There a variety of Russian nuke boats mods too, but I don't think they are hosted here at Subsim.

SSN would not load, presume it means I need a virgin intallation of SH4? I had removed all mods before trying it. :ping:

3 million miles away would be Mars, and it better be close to opposition too or it would be a lot more. They just found liquid water there. Do you know something more than we do?:rotfl2:
Edit: dropped a zero there. The minimum distance from earth to Mars is on the order of 30 million miles, not three.
......tap..tap..tap..tap........tap..tap.......... tap..tap..tap......TAP!
Hmmmm....
My calculator says that's about 29,999,998 miles too far for my Mark 10's.
