heyho me hearties,

I'm having a hard time making accurate range readings because merchants' masts keep constantly dis- and reappearing in short burst on my screen!

It's not totally game breaking for me but kinda strange and inconvenient especially when I cannot recall ever having to deal this issue..

Is anybody familiar with this?

Well, you didn't provide any information on your hardware/OS, so I can only tell you what solved a similar little problem that I had.

I've never seen exactly what you seem to be experiencing, but I did have "flickering" rigging and other small/thin details once upon a time.

I found the answer in the SH4:WoP forum; there's a stickied thread there concerning NVIDIA settings for SH3/SH4. Whether you have an NVIDIA graphics card or not, maybe the information in that thread will help lead you to find a solution.

thanks for the hint, much appreciated! I didn't mention any of my specs because I thought that if that flickering mast thing was a common issue people would know anyway how to fix it.

I also cannot recall having such issues with GWX so maybe it's a problem with living silent hunter 2015? I haven't played GWX for quite a while and just started playing again with LSH 2015 with my new graphics card..

I should make a copy with GWX to compare and find that sticky you've mentioned.
