Has anyone attempted to update the crew models? They're kinda dated. Or is that not possible?:hmm2:
I've been gone too long so dunno if its happened or no one has yet to try?
Any thoughts guys? :06:
Thanks

Well, there's one which adds beards to every single crew member and many which change clothes.
You could install the supamod 'Living Silent Hunter 3 2015' to get an idea where modding sh3 is nowdays since u said you haven't been here for a while :hmmm:

Ya I have the beard mod from back in the day. Thanks for responding. Its been a while so I figured since this thread has been quiet no one tried to port or add new models to the crew. Might be to ambitious to do. :smug:

I am replacing the standard SH3 deck crew with SH4 models for my World War I mod - this was easy to do (see below). They have a crude pivot animation using the "Watchman" controller via S3ditor. Complete animations, however? That's a whole 'nother story. I am teaching myself how to edit SH3/4 animations for several items in "Wolves of the Kaiser", but providing a full set of new animated SH3 crew models is not in the cards. For my mod that would be unacceptable "mission creep"...it would probably mean a release date of at least 6 years from now.

Is it possible to replace the Crew Animations?
Yes.
That whole process has been explained in detail.
Has anyone been able to invest the time needed to do it yet?
No.
Of all the people that could do it?
There's only one still around that could even explain it all that I'm aware of.

I knew it would take alot of work to do. Why I ask if someone did it or not. I'm not asking that someone should do it. I was just wondering if it was done. :)
iambecomelife that is cool effort. Maybe one day someone will merge the models. But 6 years sheeshh that is a long time :P
A WWI mod is long overdue-hope you are successful in under 6 years.
