Im getting the feeling that windows 10 isnt bad for SH3s health but I really need to know a couple of things before I take the plunge and crash dive into computing misery. Im eligible for a the free upgrade. I can download it whenever I want and it seems it installs more like a new service pack than an OS. I can apparently keep all of my programs and files in place. Is this actually true? Once installed do I need to spend hours looking at loading bars while SH3 attempts to reinstall or can I click the short cut and it will run as it is now on win 8.1?

Windows 10 does take several hours to install, but it leaves everything on your PC untouched. My SH3 picked up right where it left off. No reloading of anything. I have no complaints.

Thanx guys. Ive got a couple of weeks off work coming up. I might just tackle it then so if anything goes wrong I have time to sort it out.
It was the same for me as for Sailor Steve. I upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10, no problems. I had a career going in SH3 and it picked it up from in port just fine.

I liked win10 but for some reason the pc did not shut down properly after the switch so I had to get back to win7. Took hours and hours but I didn't lose any data while trying to change.
