Flak Gun Accuracy

Hi everyone
I have best crew renown can buy, but -still- can't hit even closing aircrafts from very short range. Is there a way to modify flak gun accuracy?

I simply have two flak guns on my u boat and i man one while my crew mans the other.

Real simple to shoot them down afterwards if you know roughly where to lead the target with the gun :P

Downed 31 aircraft so far and my save game is in 1942, including 9 aircraft downed in a single patrol. Using the open horizons and realistic ammo mod as well.

I tried to edit SpecialAbilities.upc for gunner accuracy and still no success.

My gunner have %100 accuracy but still miss aircrafts. :/\\!!

Actually i wonder why are you telling your crew to shoot down the planes in the first place lol x.D

U boat commanders for a while were specifically ordered to "stand and fight" attacking planes, but it resulted in huge casualties, causing them to rescind the order after some time.

So you should just make an emergency dive whenever you see a plane lol.

For me the reason why i was able to shoot so many planes down was because i made my sub a target on purpose, before making a sharp turn at emergency speed. That way, when the plane was diving towards me, i was able to shoot them down very easily, or even before they dropped their bombs :P Its just for fun really.

As a commander I can't act like a coward, especially front of my men. They just need a little bit more anti air training. Why I have 2x2 20mm cannons for?:rotfl2:

I really miss SH3's flak accuracy, my men can hit a bird from 300 meters.

Risking your men to unnecessary danger is not the thing to do lol :P

And play it like real life as much as possible. Once you get sunk, no reloading of the game and your career is basically over. :P

Even better if you have no map contact update on. Makes the game a lot tougher :P
