With all the bad news, shootings, terorism and market busts let's remind ourselves that there are other more positive things in life.
Like our four legged smelly fuzzy flea bags.

I so, so, so, SO want a dog again!
Had a Siberian Husky (crazy these dogs, I tell you) and later a Golden Retriever who was the most smart, lovely and humble animal I have ever known.
Day for day, I am very tempted to "just get one", but I know better to not rush a decision like that. Since I do not know where I will be in a month, or just next week, it would be irresponsible to get a dog to then find out I couldn't care enough for him or something.
Must. Resist. Duh. :-?

Volunteer with a dog rescue organization. You can get your puppy fix easy. You might also consider fostering as you can always transfer the dog to another foster if you need to move.
That is if you can handle the emotional stress of fostering.. which can be pretty harsh.

Yeah I considered that but I rather not do that.
Guess I'll try to be a tidy tad more patient and wait for things to settle (going to sell my parents house which I just inherited) and then... when I found a new nest, I will reconsider getting a new dog.
It is true, a life without dogs is...just not the same. Something's missing.

That's a zoo :D I had a husky and lost him to old age. Never got over it. I would love to get another dog but it would be unfair since I am in and out all the time. If I took him with me, he would have to wear a shirt and tie which he doesn't like . :03:
