Allied Radar & Convoy Raiding?

hi,

I was wondering how to attack convoys which run advanced radar tech later in war best?

I heard somewhere that british destroyers had radar with a range of about 16km? So when a mod can only render 16km view distance, how to approach a convoy best?

Running GWX, in my experience, it's not fundamentally different from other convoy attacks. First, you have to determine the course and speed of the convoy. If you've picked the convoy up off of a radio contact, you already know the approximate course and the exact speed of the convoy. You can easily run out of visual range of the convoy if you have a radar detector that works. You will get the direction of the radar contact and you can follow the convoy without viewing it.

Do your normal end-around routine, and set up for a shot. You may find that your calculations are off to make a good shot. If so, don't fire a hail mary shot. Just go scope up, get some visual readings on the convoy, go scope down, and with that information go around and try again.
