Man, this is robot summer for me. First the amusingly bad Terminator: Retirement Home, then the awesome Ex Machina (cannot recommend that one enough, brilliant film). Now the 8 episode series Humans (http://www.amc.com/shows/humans/full-episodes/season-01/episode-01/episode-101), in a time not too distant where Synths are abundant, helping us humans with our daily chores. Great program, very well done. :salute:

The moment of Singularity approaches....

Cannot wait for season two, all hell is gonna break loose with that blonde synth at large.

I found it a bit on the slow side but apart from that the main story line was clever. While I was watching the final episode I was thinking this opens the door to another series which was announced as the closing credits rolled.

Hope its more darker and sinister when it returns next year. :)

Yeah, you're right, hopefully the next season will be more about the widespread breakout of AI, and less at home family settings. Those were fine for S1 but I doubt they would serve for another season. Don't see how they will work the family into future plots either.

In the spirit of this thread, I saw The Machine (already saw Ex Machina), quite good soundtrack. The story may be a almost Blade Runner prequel...

Thanks, Rhodes. I put The Machine down on my list. Robot Summer still has a month to go:shucks:

:salute:! I liked better than Ex Machina do to the soundtrack and being a British sci.fi, normally I do like British sci-fi better in some aspects.
Transcendence would be next in line, even if it's not robots.

It's good Neal. I can tell you how it ends :)....just kidding. There is one word bit though about half way into the series.

Woowhooo..part of episode five was shot in my neck of the woods. Their was I watching it on Sunday and the scene the family went out for ice cream came on it looked very familiar. It was French row a side walk though full of food shops most part.

Anyway lets get down to season 2 now 5 episodes in and like season 1 bit of a plodder and rather odd with these side story lines. Once you get pass this odd ball stuff you have a few complicated story lines which I hope all comes together at the end.

I watched the premiere episode, but was not grabbed by it. I will try to catch up this week, maybe it gets better. I'll definitely be watching episode 5 to see your local, that's cool. :Kaleun_Thumbs_Up:

then the awesome Ex Machina (cannot recommend that one enough, brilliant film).
Saw it today. Nasty little chamber drama, clean style, story leaves an impression. I remember that I heard of it when it was release din local movies here, but then had it falling off my radar again.

If you like these kinds of somewhat minimalistic settings with utopian flair, I also recommend "Moon". LINK - Trailer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twuScTcDP_Q)

Now the 8 episode series Humans (http://www.amc.com/shows/humans/full-episodes/season-01/episode-01/episode-101), in a time not too distant where Synths are abundant, helping us humans with our daily chores. Great program, very well done. [/SPOILER]Is this an American remake of a Swedish series form 4 or 5 years ago, "Real Humans", and Synths beinc called "Hubots"? That Swedish series I have seen, 10 episodes it were, I think. But I seem to find it difficult to get warm with Swedish TV series, although their crime films are so famous and apparently popular here in Germany. I do not get into liking them, however. I would be interested to see the same story - "Real Humans" - done by somebody else, so if that "Humans" series is a remake, I callibrate my scanners for it.

Humans is a CH4 and AMC joint adventure written by two British writers based on the Swedish series. Two seasons so far and a possible third to be confirmed, both seasons have been plodding leading up to a conclusion.

Hester makes Niska look like a tame bunny rabbit!

Hester is a cold blooded killing sim on a killing spree

Oh heck next week is the end, how are they going to wrap this one up?

Just got around to the final episode and oh my what a ending, the world is in for a shock!

Well over all season 2 was not as good as season 1 mainly from my view point too many minor storyline's over lapping the main storyline and one storyline about "Vee" never really got to the point. There is clearly a opening for a third season.

Season 3 has started, just caught up on the first episode online. Its a year on after day zero code was released and the sims woke up, casualties on both sides and miss trust of the green eyed sims though the roof. There are new sims with orange eyes on the block and radical green eyed ones have just hit back.

I hope season 3 pans out to be better than season 2 was but only time will tell.

There seems to be two storylines the main one being Green eyed sims have the right to life and the other around Niska. A bit plodding but it holds your attention.

As we head towards the finish line at long last the storyline picks up. Maybe they would have done better with a six part series rather than a eight part.

Both sides gearing up for the big one and Niska comes to face to face with.......:03:

Slowly getting there. :)

What a ending! One shall fall another shall rise and one holds the key to the future for humans and syms. Oh and there is a connection to the last series which only came to light in this final part.

I do hope they make another season but make it a six part series that way cutting the dross down.
