Manual change of home port

Long time listener, first time caller. :) I've only recently started in on the Silent Hunter series. Been wanting to play for quite some time but only recently have had the opportunity to play. Purchased SHV from steam and have been playing for the last couple of weeks. Thanks to this forum I've been able to make some adjustments on my own. I manually unlocked the VIIC/41 but it changed my home port to Brest and since it's still in hostile territory and won't allow me to end patrol there. Is there any way I can change my home base to location of my choice? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
