Saves?

I pulled this off of WOS FAQ.

"- If I patrol the area for 20 hours , save the game and continue the game the other day , this time I patrolled is also saved ?
Unfortunately , it is not...You shouldn't reload the game until those 48/72 hours are passed."


I am not sure what is being said here 48/72 hours are passed - does this mean from the start time of the patrol or something else?. If so why are there two times 48hrs & 72hrs?

I am worried about saving in offline mode. So I am guess there is a glitch regarding saving? can someone help me better understand this before I shove off on patrol...

Can someone please advise me on what this. Single player- offline - you have to play through the entire mission time of 48/72 hrs in one sitting before you can save??? If this is true is there a work around... this is a real buzz kill if this is true?

Hi ruskoz

Some grid patrols last for 48 hours and others 72 hours.

When you get the radio message or enter the main grid you cannot make a manual save during this game time.

The game however continues to make its own automatic game saves.

The only way around this is to pause the game using the Alt + Tab key or Windows key to go back to the desktop.

You need to set your computer so it will hibernate.

You can still use your computer while the game is still in its paused state until you are ready to play again.

You will get another radio message when you have completed the assignment and you will be awarded 1 bonus/promotion point.

Ah i see, so when does the game do auto saves? Is there a trigger or after a certain action or is it random?

The game has 3 game saves.

Autosave Enter Base
Starting and ending a Patrol.

Autosave In Game.
Automated save every 25 minutes.

Manual Save
By entering your own save details in the text box at the bottom.

Manual saves will often overwrite the Autosave In Game depending on the situation.

Manual saves should be made with your avatar on the bridge.
sober says if you need to make a manual save submerged then put the periscope up.

I do not save closer than 60km to any destroyed marks or AI.
