Silent Hunter IV

Guys I had a crash several months ago and was lucky to get back my fully
up date SH III up and going. Question and help how do I restore SH IV to my system (can not find programe disk) I am able and willing to purchase a new game can you tell me how I can find one?? Second how do I take care of the basic patches that is where I was before the crash so please I am hoping to have someone point me in quickest direction to get back up and going can I get a PC disk and then how do I gain access to 1.5 patch?? I did a quick check on amazion and did not see a quick fix

Please post back as I would hate to see am investment of a nice printed SH IV manuel collect dust

You're best bet is to get SH4: The Gold Edition. This is the latest version of the game (v1.5) and it also comes with the UBM (U-Boat Missions). You can get it here through the Subsim Store. I think they only have the d/load version. Finding the DVD version might proof difficult.

Amazon does have the DVD Gold version, but it is quite expensive. Even the download version carries a high price. Still, what can you do?

Whatever you do, don't pay for something less than v1.5. You will need v1.5 to run current mods.

Bought my copy of the DVD Gold Edition from iNetVideo (http://www.inetvideo.com/products/silent-hunter-iv-wolves-of-the-pacific-gold-edition-pc) for under $10.00 dollars U.S. a couple of years ago. I was tired of getting Direct2Drive to give me a new access code for the download "U-Boat Missions Addon" (Version 1.5) every time I wanted to reinstall/update my original disk v1.0 of the game. The DVD Gold Edition is a little higher priced today, but still a good bargain.

The DVD shipped from Montreal Canada, the UbiSoft Canadian Office, arriving in about 4 days from purchase.

By the way....... What's up with the Amazon Silent Hunter 4 purchase sites?? I just clicked on cdrsubron7's link and find the disk game is selling for triple the price compared to iNetVideo?!? AND, coming from Japan to boot.....taking weeks to ship?????

I'm all for giving SubSim.com a little help in keeping things running, but don't go overboard with buying the same product at ridiculous prices.
