There was a film made in the UK by a pair of rather young guys on a shoestring budget about the defeat and occupation of the UK by German forces. The film was titled "It Happened Here" and, for first time effort and the miniscule budget, was really very good. Released in 1965, production was begun in 1956 and continued as funds allowed. If you can find it on DVD or maybe some streaming service, it is well worth the watching. I remember when I first was released and much was made of how, during the filming, London citizens were startled to see "Nazis" in full uniform marching through the streets...

Could be a good film if done right ,the book was an interesting read.
