I can't find any English article about this story.

I read it in a Swedish News paper-Entertainment section

Sir Roger have an idea about a 007 movie-the idea is this-Every former actors who have been acting as 007 come together and make some movie- just like the expendables. way of stile(or how you say it)

Former actors who have played 007 is interested, except Sean. He is fighting to get of his "007" who is nailed onto him

For the moment it's nothing but an idea from Sir Roger Moore.

Why's Daniel Craig not invited? BTW, I heard on the radio the other day that the next Bond might be Damian Lewis...

I'm all for Craig.
Unlike those two in Kingsman, the secret service, I don't like the far-fetched theatrical plots.

So is the first guy to play James Bond, the American actor Barry Nelson.

When I read thing like that about a news paper, some thoughts goes through my mind in this case:

1. Is this a made-up-story by the journalist ?

2. Had this journalist a little chat with Sir Roger Moore, but somehow misunderstood what he said ?

3 Or have the journalist got it right ?

I'd wager that Moore would be game for it, he's not really had much luck with films outside of Bond and The Saint. I doubt Connery would go for it though, he's pretty much retired now, he'd do voiceover work I'm sure, but I doubt he'd actually go for full physical acting. Dalton would probably be up for it, Lazenby too, Brosnan...unsure, but I'd wager he probably would go for it.

Would be a bloody expensive film though. :haha:

Totally Americanized but predates Nivens portrayal by three years.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casino_Royale_%28Climax!%29

Casino Royale is a 1954 television adaptation of the novel of the same name by Ian Fleming. An episode of the dramatic anthology series Climax!, the show is the first screen adaptation of a James Bond novel and stars Barry Nelson and Peter Lorre. Though this marks the first onscreen appearance of the character of James Bond, Nelson's character is played as an American agent with "Combined Intelligence" and is referred to as "Jimmy" by several characters.
