Stuart Prebbles book is well worth a read and cheap as chips varying between $1 and up to $9.

On topic if we could all be so kind, or is it a fact the submarine in the picture was the first?

I don't recall Pskov sinking any enemy warships, nor Nizhniy Novgorod. :hmmm:
Good boats though, the Sierra IIs. :yep:

It didn't sink any per say, but Baton Rouge got scrapped after coliding with it. Hence why the crews display their kill count as 1 :P

Nice try but a ship that makes it back to port can't be claimed as sunk.

Would a ship that limps to port but sinks there and blocks it count as a double kill :hmmm:

Not 'Conquered' then.

Uh, HMS Conqueror sunk not one, but three ships on her career...

(And I am not referring to any SINKEX)

Puzzled?

Just a quick English lesson...or not. The phrase is "Per se", which is Latin meaning "In and of itself." :sunny:

I also disagree with your sub counting, but for a different reason. Did the ship it collided with count as an "enemy"? I took the original post to mean an intentional sinking, and with weapons fired in anger. That said, I do see your point, and they can wear their "1" with pride.

My point was a half-troll, if that clarifies things :)

However, that said - some suggest that the ramming was intentional.

And we'll never know. :sunny:

There was a JAG episode, Cossacks and cowboys, where Rabb had to investigate an incident where a Russian sub and a US sub collided and in the end it was both of their faults because neither wanted to give way :)

Could have been two destroyers, not certain though.
