Some weeks ago I got something similar.

In the mail there were a picture of an elder man dancing with what I presume to be his wife

In the text that was under the picture it was written

Hi, I was the lucky winner of...Forgot what it was) in my luck I was struck by unlucky I lost my wife. she died in cancer. Then more text followed and I should click on a link.

I didn't click on that link it went right to the bin.

It made me sick in my stomach. Maybe the male person on the picture was lucky, maybe he lost his wife to cancer. but there's no doubt in my mind that if this was the case, some scumbag have taken advantaged of this.

Edit In that link I should fill in information a.s.o and I would then recieve 10 or was it 20 mil $

Had one of those "hello I'm from such and such technical support and I'm calling to tell you hackers have taken control of your computer and I'm here to help you remove them" calls awhile back said he was from Telstra,(major phone/isp here in Australia) ,kept him on the line for over 15 minutes ,everytime he tried to get back to the script they use I'd go off on a tangent or deliberately misunderstanding what he said - by the time I was finished having fun and told him I wasn't a telstra customer and hung up on him he was starting to forget he could speak English:D ,iceing on the cake is he rang back after i hung up and told me I was insane and needed to get professional help :D:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

^ :har: when i used to get telemarketing calls i used to try to sell them something, they didn't stay on for long, also in Australia you can go to a gov website, i think it was dontcallme, after registering and a month wait the calls stop, it makes it illegal for then to call :up:

Unfortunately being on the no call register still means you get calls from scammers and politicians........:D
