Ahoy Kaleuns,

After several years of running silent and deep on my old rig i decided to modestly splurge on a new one with the following specs;

CPU: AMD A10-7850K 3.70GHz Quad-Core APU
FAN: Asetek 550LC 120mm Liquid Cooling CPU Cooler - Extreme Cooling Performance
HDD: 1TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 32MB Cache 7200RPM HDD (1TB x 2 (2 TB Capacity) RAID 0 Extreme Performance
MEMORY: 16GB (8GBx2) DDR3/2133MHz Dual Channel Memory
MOTHERBOARD: * GIGABYTE F2A88X-D3H A88X ATX w/ Ultra Durable 4 Plus, On/Off Charge, GbLAN, 2 PCIe x16, 3 PCIe x1, 2 PCI
POWERSUPPLY: 750 Watts - Thermaltake Toughpower - 80 PLUS Gold, Semi Modular Power Supply
VIDEO: AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB GDDR5 PCIe 3.0 x16 Video Card
OS: Windows 7 Professional (64-bit Edition)

Due to the hassle of trying to figure out who had my downloaded D2D version of the game stored online from years ago i just snagged a new copy of the game from ebay for $4.91. The game is distributed by a california company called encore and comes prepatched to 1.4.

I had the GWX files saved on an external harddrive and no problems installing the mod. Before i go to war again i have a question.

I downloaded privateer's Sh3 4Gig patch but neither of them would work, i received a message saying it could not identify the version of my game. So i am wondering if this patched version of the game eliminates the need for that patch or where i can get a version of said patch that will not keep this machine limited to 2Gig while playing this fine game.

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated!

I can't answer all your questions, but no matter what version of SH3 you're using you still need the 4-Gig patch to run the biggest mods, especially the Merchant Fleet Mod.

If Privateer's version doesn't work for you try the one that comes with Bl!tzKr!eg's S3F.
