I know I brought this up a few years ago. I took quite a break from sub siming, but I recently got the itch to sink some Jap tonnage. I remember starting a career in Pearl and how the carriers were of an older class and the planes on them weren't correct as well. Someone said something about the game makers couldn't get the rights to use the proper ships and planes. Has that issue been resolved and maybe corrected in a mod?? Just wondering.
Thanks!

I think it only applied to Northrop Grumman equipment. It's not that the designers couldn't get a license to model their stuff. They just would have had to be willing to pay for one. I believe there are some mods that have replaced those odd-looking stand-ins for US carriers with a better model.

Historically correct US ships and planes.

RSRDC adds a number of Allied/Axis ships and planes. I'm sure there are quite a few missing. Trying to cover them all would be an enormous undertaking.
