Ballistic, as in a direct threat to the west. :shifty:

North Korea says it has conducted an underwater test-firing of a submarine ballistic missile, the Korean Central News Agency reported Saturday.

The test "proved and confirmed that the ballistic missile fire from the submarine fully met the requirements of the latest military science and technology," KCNA said.

The North's state-run Rodong Sinmun newspaper published photos of a projectile rising from the surface and Kim smiling from a distance at what looked like a floating submarine.

The South Korean navy has just laid out a plan to build six 3,000-ton submarines equipped with vertical missile launchers between 2027 and 2030, the South Korean agency says.

Just a coincidence? :hmmm:

The difference being the world will get to see the SK vessels first hand.

The day is coming when Iran, NK, and other penny-ante dictatorships will have nukes parked off our coast...

Maybe USA is putting NK on the list, who has nukes which can be fired from subs.

Is NK a country that could fire their nukes against USA as an preemptive strike ?

Markus

I suppose if they can live with the inevitable consequences.

I kind of wonder if the North Koreans aren't showcasing their Photoshop skillz too. Wouldn't be the first time.

Markus We would preempt their preemptivity preemptively!:hmph: and fat boy knows it. We only do Mutual Assured Destruction with the Russians...not some little sabre-rattling fat megalomaniac with an attitude-adjustment problem. :/\\!! The Chinese with an agenda of domination of their own...and nuclear weapons, also tire of this cretin. I actually see them taking charge of any serious problem in exchange for dètante with the US in the Western Pacific and Formosa.

They don't think that way, of the consequences that is ...

Iran supreme leader said that if Israel or the USA nuked Iran that it would be okay, because they are going to heaven anyway.

North Korea doesn't even believe in God so they are not afraid of any consequences of that nature.

Fear is what they really generate ... they want us to respect them.

It was so much more simple when it was just USSR and the USA to hold off any first strike with the threat of FBM submarines lurking off their shores :yep:
