A shameless plug for a game I have helped on - Scourge of War: Waterloo. It is out on June 11th, one week before the battle.
http://www.matrixgames.com/news/1676/Scourge.of.War:.Waterloo.is.coming.on.June.
Some of you might be familiar with the previous series, it focussed on the American Civil War and Gettysburg was the flagship. With the 200 year anniversary coming up this June we decided to make the jump over to this side of the world and tackle Napoleonic warfare. If RTS games are your cup of tea you should enjoy these. Some reviews in my sig.

The release date was moved forward - so it will actually be out later today! I might see some of you in multiplayer in the not-too-distant future :)

We are a high realism lot here at subsim - for those who do get it, I have to recommend 'HITS' - or 'headquarters in the saddle'. You are tied to your general sprite, must gallop everywhere, give your orders by courier, trust your AI subordinates. It is a blast.
AI in this game is what we pride ourselves on - they all have different traits, aggressive, cautious, etc.

The game is really getting attention - it is being used for a real-time replay of the battle next week! Check it out if you are interested.

Yesterday was the 200 year anniversary. Matrix Games organised the battle to be played out in tandem with a tabletop wargamer group. The videos are all up now - this was a day-long event.
Enjoy!

Found the appearance of the 30% off Easter Coupon at Matrix the perfect excuse to add this title to my library yesterday.
Still scratching the basics playing some of the smaller scenarios before diving into the bigger ones and the campaigns but my first impression is that I still wonder how it was possible it was day when I looked out the window and night the next :D
I heard great things about the game that intrigued me when I followed it from the Fence and haven't been dissapointed.

Glad you like it
When you get the hang of it - if you feel brave try HITS (Headquarters in the Saddle) with courier order delivery - that is the equivalent of full manual targeting, early war dud torpedo loadout, with no map updates or external view :)

I like playing as a subordinate too - let the higher command AI plan and fight it out and then get your courier orders from them. Although occasionally on the bigger battles you get put in the strategic reserve!
