View Full Version : Any way to close the compass?

I've just started playing with the Wolves of Steel mod, and there is an alternative compass / UI that comes with it (Church's, I believe?).

Is there anyway to close that toggleable compass / rudder overlay once it's opened?

I'd really rather not have it taking up screen space permanently, and on every single screen.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Edit: I'm also having an issue with the deck crew options remaining stuck on the screen, regardless of my choice.
Common thing, or just me?

Just press "C" on the keyboard to cycle the compass and click on any one of the crew icons again to remove the crew order bar. Alternatively you can use the "TDW Options File Editor Viewer" to set the behaviour of the various UI functions to exactly how you want them to work. Check out "THEBURBSTER" tutorials etc for how to use this tool.:yep:

My triumphant return!

I actually flirted with the idea of reinstalling SH3 and GWX, but decided to take the plunge into SH5.

Currently struggling - can't seem to get the hang of targeting and forcing the TDC to do what I want.

Good to be back though.

Big thanks to Kevinsue for helping straighten me out:

I have a mod that uses the SH3 bindings, so C button is also Crash Dive, so it was not on my list of "try this button to close things" and I missed it.
Much appreciated.

Hi Phaedrus

Use TDW's Options File Editor Viewer that came with TWOS.

Go to the Crash Dive Tab where you can select a hot key of your choice.

For example I use Shift + V.
