There was a sub simulator I played about 10 years ago.

It had the ability to play either the destroyer side or the u-boat side as I recall.

Does this ring a bell with anyone?

The game is called WOLFPACK. I have that game.
Subsims has the page where you can play the game along with other oldie sub games, Great Naval Battles, and more.
Scroll down there news page when it opens and see the write up ad for it.

WOLFPACK made by Broderbunds. Found this game to be unique to be able to play both sides, destroyer or sub. As a destroyer, you had control of the merchant ships also. Plus it had a timer on it you could set for whatever length of time you wanted to play before it switched over to the U-boat command.

Check out the Subsim news page.

Yeah that's the link Hitman put up. Now I'm interested so I might load this one too.

I spent uncountable hours playing Wolfpack back in the early '90s. I recently got nostalgic for it, and found a place to download a pre-configured DOS Box version that runs great on Win XP/7/8.x/10. http://www.old-games.com/download/4501/wolfpack. I've been playing it a lot over the last few days. After playing SH4 for so long, I had forgotten how primitive and simple it was, but still fun nonetheless.

Is there a Wolfpack thread on Subsim? I haven't been able to find it. I'd love to compare notes/tips/strategies with other fans.

All ahead Bendix!!
