Help! Dead in the water!

Just got promoted and offered a new sub. I have been given command of the USS Thresher, a Tambor class fleet boat. I have the feeling that the admiralty is having a good laugh right now at my current situation. I was taken out to my new command outside of Freemantle for the shakedown patrol. The patrol boat that brought me out here took off in a hurry for some reason. I soon found out that the deck gun and diesel/electric engines were not installed.

My introductory story aside, I have no clue what is going on... I am running TMO, RSRD, Traveller's mod pack, ISP, and ISE. I have them installed in the correct order, but cannot for the life of me figure out why my boat has no propulsion system or a deck gun... Dive systems don't even work. :06:

Will try removing ship pack mod since I just added that back in for some surface shenanigans.

Edit: I have run through the Salmon class, Porpoise, S class, and Balao class with no problems. Those are all active campaigns at this time, as is the Tambor class that I am having issues with.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with your problems, but you are using the wrong version of ISP. The correct version for TMO + RSRDC is Improved Ship Physics_2.6_TMO_RSRDC. You should also read the documentation for this. You might have to start a new career.

You might also want to make sure you have the correct version of RSRDC.

That might explain some of the modelling issues I have had with the diving planes on my Salmon class not "working" right...

You also need the patch for RSRD.. Been so long since I've played, seems there was a patch for TMO.

Which ship pack are u running? That might be causing issues with ISP.

Improved Stock Environment may be causing a conflict with TMO also. TMO makes environmental improvements. I would just simply remove ISE.

I have just finished browsing through the mod forums for the most recent RSRD and ISP mods. They have been installed successfully, but my Tambor class still is missing its diesel/electric engines. I am honestly not sure what is going on. I will just blame a corrupted save file and try further testing once I have more time. Thanks for the help everyone! :up:

Which ship pack are u running? That might be causing issues with ISP.

This is a good point. Make sure nothing overwrites ISP.

You will probably need to start a new career to fix things.

If you are still having problems, post your exact mod list from JSGME.

I'm not really sure what you mean. Are you saying that there is actually equipment/items missing from your screen, or that you just can't move?

It is actually missing the diesel and electric engines. When I open the repair list screen, they are just gone. I thought it was funny at first... :down: As to the ship pack mod, I don't remember which one it is. I have removed it from my active mod list.

Edit: Also, I was activating ISP after the ship pack mod to make sure that the updated physics applied to all the models. At least, that's what I thought I was supposed to do...

Success! I updated my mod lost and started a new patrol in a tambor class. This one actually has the propulsion systems. I think I had accidentally corrupted the last save which caused the issues, plus an outdated/incompatible mod list.

I hate to nag, but you still have the wrong version of ISP in your list.

ISP 2.6 is the correct version for TMO+RSRDC.

You can get it HERE (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=4586).

Using v2.4 will leave out many of the ships in RSRDC.

there is a patch for tmo and one for rsrd

Remove travellers mod and you'll solve your issue. It isn't compatible with ISP.
