SH3 purchase on steam download

I purchased online SH3 & SH5 through steam and downloaded them but I cannot find the folder, there is one folder but in it is game launcher not anything else.
So I cannot mod it like I could when I had the disk version. The only folder is SH3& SH5 in my documents but nothing in it and seems like could only play with steam connection.
Before in the past I had the disc version installed and it had a Ubisoft folder and that is where the mods went but now I purchased online and I think the games are on steam server and not my pc.
Both my discs for each game are not with me now and currently out of town with new laptop that is why I purchased online but I think it was a waist of 20$.

by default, Steam games install to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common

I went ahead and ordered a brand new sealed unopened SH3 so i will use that one.
