I've just installed RFB mods, i think i do it all correctly but after my first session of play i didnt notice any change. What can i look for to be sure i do it correctly ?

Second, i do my first patrol in Hokkaido sea. Wasnt pretty ! My first boat was a fishermen. I let him go. Then i spot two large composite merchant, i chase them and launch torpedoes. My first shot, one torp each was at 6300 feet, a bit far i know but is it possible that they detonate before reaching the target ? I try to get closer but they spot me, i find another good spot to attack a bit farther on their course. Another two torp, one hit and again one detonate before reaching... all in all it take me all my torp but three to sink them. And a couple of deck gun hit. A messy job. One of them even try to ram me ! never seen that before !

Must i return to base manually or is it like SH3 , you can go back to base by ending the patrol ?

I believe there is mod by Traveler that allows you to teleport home to base (at some cost in renown) But, yes otherwise you have to slog all the way back. So leave yourself an ample fuel reserve to do it. If you run dry short of home, neither the USN or AAA will show up to tow you in. :D

RFB, TMO, and RSRDC are so extensive, they only take effect when you start a new career. I'm not sure about Traveller's mod or OTC, but I would treat them the same. Also, sh4 can't be in the "x86" directory if you want to use the mods.

As FF says, you should start a new career. RFB has it's own loading screens. If you don't see these when you start up the game, something is wrong.

Are you using JSGME?

If so, you should post your active mod list, when asking questions about them.

Right now I'm only using RFB and the patches for RFB. I will probably add some more mods after a while. yes i use JSGME.

Well, if you don't see any changes, RFB isn't being activated.

Usually, this is because your game is in the Windows program folder, and Windows is interfering...

Or, you have an extra folder that prevents JSGME from properly enabling the mod. Check the file structure of RFB, and the patch.
