Some ads on here keep redirecting Safari to the AppStore. Especially frustratingly frequent tonight, for whatever reason. I'm here for SilentHunter, but"Mobvertising" wants me to play Panda Pop. Are there any supermods for Panda Pop?

I've had things like that in the past. Most likely you downloaded something somewhere that installed the adware on your computer. The adware puts ads anywhere you go, and you mostly go to Subsim.

The first thing to do is to google the name of the adware and include the word "adware" or "virus". This will tell you if it's a common problem and if anyone has a solution. Malwarebytes is good at getting rid of this sort of thing. Also your computer's Uninstaller should turn up items with the names in question, and uninstall them. You might need something that looks for rootkits and a good registry cleaner. Iobit Uninstaller does both when you use it to uninstall programs.

Finally, when you have computer or malware problems the best place to report it is in Subsim's computer hardware and software forum.

It's my iPhone, so I'm less inclined to believe virus/malware. I think it's a banner ad or something that Safari can't handle

I think you're right, I received another complaint about this from a Safari user.

I have disabled the two banner ads for now, if you can help me investigate what may be causing this, I would be very grateful. Is there some setting in Safari that can disable popups? My banner ad is not a popup, just a passive ad.

So far so good, thanks! I'll see what I can do on the Safari end. Thanks again!

Thanks, man. I will contact my ad server and see what they know.

I use Opera ... the only ads I see is for subsim and they only to go to subsim or NF2.

If you use Opera you get a much more stable platform and the plugins do not send you to hades like IE does.

Safari does have a pop-up blocker, which I have enabled. It's supposed to be proofed against ad redirect, but the forums suggest that's still a work in progress

Ok, should be fixed now. Please add my ads to your exception list

The same redirect on a smartphone android based.
It isn't a malewere. It is the mobile redirect (dosn't work in desktop navigation) who mobile operators or hack site use for paying contents.
I stop them editing hosts file ... but only with robot phone.
