I have installed SH4 patched through 1.5 and intend to slowly begin to add some mods suggested for beginners. The mods, in the order suggested are listed below. The only thing I have done so far is to increase ram usage to 4 GB by the NT Core utility.
However, i do have one issue and that is that I have vertigo and the bobbing up and down of the boat seems to bother me. Is there any mod that stops the bobbing?

The list of future mods to be installed, one at a time, later on are using JSGME are:
Game Fixes Only Mod v1.1

New Orders Bar Menu

Webster's No Crew Fatigue

Webster's Improved US Torpedo v2

Magnified Hud Dials for v1.5_Large

Bigger Better Protractors

Extra Allied naval bases for Stock SH4 + UBM v3.0

Webster's Ship Maneuvering Fix

3000 Yard Bearing Tool (1920x)

Ship Centered Accuracy Fix (SCAF) for SH 1.5

MaxOptics3 for SCAF 1.5

Webster's New sonar view for v1.5

Eye Patch for Stock

Sobers Compass Mod Version Color

Webster's Eliminate Floating Plankton

Webster's Upgraded Deck Gun v1

Remove Grain Effect

Any other suggestions for a beginner?

I would recommend a supermod. From your choices I would suggest Webster's own GFO (Game Fixes Only) mod before you load anything else.

Hi Coral

GFO is a good beginners mod setup with Webster getting rid of Stock Game bugs.

If you read the documentation that came with the GFO mod you will see that it can be upgraded.

I have a more advanced mod list in my SH4 Tutorial Post #4 that might also interest you at some later date.

I suggest you read Webster's readme files and the contents of his GFO because some of those mods are already incorporated into his GFO mod.
