You posted the following in a thread that I'd rather not hijack, so I'll answer here instead.

Marvelous AAR and it has inspired me to get back into SH4. It's been several years since I last tried to master the beast but I really want to give it another shot.

I finally gave up on my last attempt after I had absolutely no luck in hitting anything! I am playing with the TMO mod (nothing else) on realistic mode and I can't hit a thing. After reading your AAR, it occurs to me that the incorrect mast height data could be the problem (first I've ever heard of this bug. Hey, I'm pretty much a rookie ). The TMO info doesn't mention this problem at all, so I'm wondering if a correction was included. If it isn't, I'd like to add in the mod to correct it (even a printed correction chart would help). Unfortunately, after examining page after page of available mods, I can't seem to find it. Anyone have a link or suggestion?

You certainly went for the gold the first time out. :arrgh!: It sounds like you and I think a lot alike as far as our version of realism for this game so; my mod list is currently:

Generic Mod Enabler - v2.6.0.157
[C:\Steam\steamapps\common\silent hunters wolves of the pacific\MODS]

1_TriggerMaru_Overhaul_2-5
RSRDC_TMO_V502
RSRDC_V5xx_Patch1
1.5_Optical Targeting Correction 031312 for RSRDCv502
1.5_OTC_Realistic Scopes for 16 to 9 RSRDCv502
Improved Ship Physics 2.6_TMO_RSRDC_OTC
OTC_ISP_Crew Mod
Realism Settings

You already landed on TMO but here's the link to the release thread anyway. All of these release threads link to the downloads in the first post and tell which ones to get. They also cover any patches you'll need.
TMO (Trigger Maru Overhauled) http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=132330

To get historically accurate traffic levels why not use the actual historical traffic? For the uncertainty the actual skippers had just don't bother to read all the documentation telling you exactly where and when the IJN was moving supplies and troops. I just take lurker's word that practically EVERY historical convoy is in the game and rush out trying to find them blithely unaware of where they'll be but completely confident that they are where they are supposed to be.
RSRDC (Run Silent, Run Deep - The Campaign) http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=123467

This is the one that fixes the camera for you so that you can actually hit what you shoot at. If you decided against RSRDC there's a download for that configuration as well. This documentation reads like a horror story of shoddy programming in the original program but CapnScurvy brings it all together.
OTC (Optical Targeting Correction) http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=181172

This mod makes the ships act their weight. The copy of Improved Ship Physics I use is heavily modified: TorpX didn't do one to support OTC so I shamelessly nabbed the parts of his work I needed and discarded the rest. I'm going to ask him if I can release this version but I didn't get around to it yet.
ISP (Improved Ship Physics) http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=215710

The crew mod is one I made to correct the crew levels to those discussed in this thread http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=184645 and the realism settings is where I made it so having the external camera enabled does not drop my realism percentage. I do all my identification through the periscope and one of those mods deletes the indicator on top of the water showing where my sub is so I don't think using the camera justifies ten percent off realism. Sure, it's not realistic, but it doesn't change my game play any to have it. Now I can just get better pictures.

What you're looking for right now is the TMO, RSRDC, OTC combo, I think. If you have more that 2gb of RAM, read this thread. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=202192

I hope these are the answers you were seeking. Fair winds and following seas.
