Problem running on new laptop

Hey guys,

I got the new HP Omen laptop and have been trying to run vanilla SH4 via steam. The game does not appear to launch, but if I try to click play again, it says it is already running. I pulled up task manager and it shows the program as running in the background. Really strange. Any idea on how I can fix this?

What OS are you running? Windows 7, 8 or 8.1?

I did manage to figure it out finally. It is a compatibility issue. I had to run the program with Vista compatibility and it worked fine.
