1.using sobers mega mod,
2.finished first patrol and return Kiel.....upgrade hydrophone to kdb.....
3.periscope depth and use hydrophone myself,,,,nothing heard at all,but emeny's ship is nearby.....even could sea it...

order the soundman to repord sound nearby,,,he will give me the data...but when i go into sound room,,and listen by myself,,nothing heard....

who can tell me what happened?it is so strange....

I do not really have an answer to this.

Looking at your situation logically.

Have you upgraded your hydrophone to one that you should not have for the time period you are currently at in the war?

i dont know,,,,,i have just finished my first patrol.....and now it is 20 Sep 1939,,the KDB is show up in the upgrade screen....so i buy KDB.....

i have tried the GHG again just now,and it is ok...the ghg work fine...but when i use KDB nothing heard at all....

i am so confused...

Your mod list shows that you will not get upgrades before they are due.

Are you aware that this mod will not allow you to load a previous save.

Means exactly what it says Quote > dead is dead

switching?do i need to?i talk to the officer next to the fleet officer who give your mission,,and want something to upgrade,he give me a list that can be used now,KDB is on list, then i upgrade hpdrophone,105 deck gun,improved 20mm gun,,,,,,i dont know swtiching....

i know what you mean....i load the previous save where in bunker,,and start mission without upgrade hydrophone. ....

Hi JT

If you are going to load the previous save when loaded go back to save and delete the current save as you do not want this save to be overwritten.

yeah....I've noticed that the hydro guy has superhuman hearing as well and can "hear" contacts long before I hear the audio when at the hydrophone.

I am using "TWoS" and have also noticed that class of ship (warship/merchant etc) is no longer displayed. I get only "contact" or "unknown" on my hydrophone scratchpad, but the hydro guy still differentiates between the various classes.

I'm not sure if vdr1981 has adjusted this to better reflect the real world operation of this equipment.

maybe i upgrade the soundman's ability allow him to listen further...but the ship have gone into my visual,i still cannot hear any voices about the propeller....nothing heard at all....

do you have this problem?

you mean if i disable the mod(dead is dead V3 NewUIs_TDC_7_5_0 SH5)...then i could load save game whatever i want?

i got it...when sub dive over 27m,you could hear sound voice from hydrophone yourself....but if bove that depth,,,heard nothing....

i got it...when sub dive over 27m,you could hear sound voice from hydrophone yourself,more deeper,the sound more clear ....but if bove that depth,,,heard nothing......but the depth dont affect the soundman,,,he could hear emeny from periscope depth.....

With sobers mod you could call it a no cheat mod as if you are destroyed there is no save game to go back to reload and carry on.

you mean killed is end ot the game,,no load,no continue,you only have to do is creat a new career and begain a new game?
