I mentioned this sim once or twice in the General Topics forum but got no feedback; all anyone seems to want to talk about is Rise of Flight and Wings Over Flanders Fields, when it comes to WW1.

I've had it quite a while now and think it's great (don't know whether it's been modded yet).

Any feedback here?

(Edit: just discovered there's an expansion pack, First Eagles 2, or both sims together = First Eagles Gold)

I'll see what I can find on youtube. I always like to see new sims, even if I don't seem to find much time anymore to fly.

Hi, GSpector; I expect you've found out all about this by now (sorry I haven't been in here for a while: too busy mucking around in General Topics). I know now that there was a follow-up featuring bombers and various other new aircraft, and that there are many mods available from clever guys who've evidently thought enough of this sim to create them, despite it getting rather snooty reviews online in the past.

It's not electrifying, sure, but makes a nice respite from the likes of IL-2, Lock On or DCS.
