We’ve known for months now that Microsoft was working on a new browser currently named Project Spartan for Windows 10, but it always appeared as though the company planned to keep Internet Explorer front and center. But the negative connotations with the name were just too much — Microsoft is finally giving up on IE.

So, retiring one browser, bringing out a new one...how's that really different from just saying "here's Internet Explorer 15!" ? :O:

Anyway, it's funny, cause the only thing I still use IE for is to change my Google news settings. They won't take when I use Chrome, but using IE, works fine :/\\k:

I call Nancy other names when I, um, entertain her.
But she's still Nancy.
:haha:
Spartan in just going to be IE dressed as a French Maid or something.

Not sure what the hoopla is here but I've been using FireFox for decades.
Only thing I use IE for is to update windows manually.

I'm just waiting for her to pick it up again.

Same as thegrindre here, I only use IE for manual updating Windows once/month (the 2nd Tue PM) and prefer FF.

MS is moving in the right direction again - Win 10 sounds better than 8.x, however I'm still very happy with Win 7 64bit, and even have a backup disk ready to install on my next 'clean' machine.

Happy Hunting!
