During my first Caribbean patrol, I was alerted to an enemy convoy less than 100km to my north and travelling at 11 knots. I plot a course to intercept, and soon enough my lookouts make visual contact in grid ED42.
8 ships, unescorted (but armed) travelling WNW.
Modern tanker
Intermediate tanker
Medium tanker
Large tanker
Small tanker
Modern tanker
Medium cargo
Coastal freighter
Jackpot. First victims were the large tanker and one of the moderns.
I had to intercept a second time after allowing the crew to reload the bow tubes, this time taking out a medium tanker and the medium cargo. After one final intercept, we sank the modern and the small tanker. I let the others go, not worth the torpedoes. It was almost too easy.
I'm on my way back towards the sea north of Curacao with three torpedoes left and just under 70000 tons sunk.
