Our State Auditor, Tom Schweich (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Schweich), committed suicide earlier today.

He was an incredibly smart and qualified man who I had the privilege to meet last April. I thought it was lucky that we got him as an auditor. I think he would've been a great Governor and I definitely would've voted for him.

RIP :wah:

Lost in translation I think. People do not always kill themselves over secrets they fear having exposed. Could be other reasons perhaps he simply had a severe case of manic depression or he found the prospect of running for governor stressful sounds like that was the issue.

I agree here in this case, I knew a rational dude, with a family and a great life who committed suicide with no sign.

People will always look for the conspiracy theory.

Although you can never rule it out. Google R Budd Dwyer, just don't watch the video, because you cannot unsee it.

From 2005 to 2014...He was riding high in the saddle. And for whatever reason he self terminated.

Hey in 6 hrs. I'll roll out of my bunk and into the commander's seat of this Kenworth. 20 min, Later i'm rolling into the future at 70 mph the past going by my side windows. 10 to 12 hrs later i'll be in another state and the radio will inform me of another politicians downfall!! And me well i'll catch up my log book eat a bowl of coco krispies and tune the radio to George Noory... And let the rumble of the diesel sing me to sleep. Every man is an island unto his self until the water get's above his waist. Good night and check your baffles.

Yes I've seen that video it made the rounds once in my old unit. Not something you want to see but you don't realize until you do see. Made the same mistake watching the Daniel Burg (? the guy they beheaded in Iraq in 04) same deal it was making the rounds in that case I guess to get the troops amped up. At least with Dwyer that was his choice.
