The 800th anniversary of the sealing of Magna Carta will be a commemoration of national and international significance. Due to its central place in English history and its impact across the world, a wide range of events and activities are being planned.

The celebratory quaff of mead may be a little runny too!:Kaleun_Cheers: One of four originals: http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/featured_documents/magna_carta/images/after-restoration-l.jpg As usual: it always looks good on paper and is generally "Honored in the Breech.":/\\!!

I'm only about 30-something miles away from the Lincoln copy, when it's there and not being lent out to all and sundry.
Typically, being so close, I've never been to see it. :/\\!!

You and me both, I regret to say: 30 miles as the crow flies from here as well. I was trying to find out earlier whether or not it's at the castle right now but I don't know (passed right by the place at the start of January on our annual pilgrimage to Toys-R-Us, Philistines that we are.)

Maybe next time we go there we'll be able to find one of these:

It's not at the castle, it's usually at the cathedral but I believe that they are all in London to celebrate.

Dooooh! I wrote Cathedral first off, 'cos I always thought it was in there, and then changed it after getting duff info online.
