Been playing with the combo of GWX 3.0 and SH3 Commander for about the past 2 weeks. I love it (so far), but found at least one bug, wondering if there's anything out there that fixes this? Actually, the bug is more with GWX than SH3 Commander...
When I start a game in 1939, there are three flotillas available. Kiel, Wilhelmshaven, and Konigsberg. When I start at Konigsberg, I don't get the radio messages about heading west into the bay to sink the target ships and return to base. When I start with either of the other two flotillas, I get the radio messages...seems backwards, esp. since from Wilhelmshaven, there's no way to get into the bay until the 2nd message comes telling me to go back to base. Not that it's affecting gameplay - heck, half the time, I ignore what the messages tell me ANYWAY.
Anyway, just wondering if there's a mod out there somewhere that fixes this??

Is this the training missions?
I have the "original" CD-ROM version of SH3 (Starforce). Added GWX 3 Gold. And have only played the training missions once.

I'm still not sure why they did that. In real life, no U-boat flotilla was ever based at Königsberg. They have you sink ships which are friendly just to gain experience, but give you extra renown to pay for it. I would start a career in that port but then immediately dock, use Commander to set 'Days In Base' to 30 for that one patrol, then start your career around September 1st with 2500 renown. :sunny:

In real life, no U-boat flotilla was ever based at Konigsberg. AAAH OOOGAHHHH!!!:D Sailor Steve! Just out of perverse curiosity I looked up Königsburg, and it appears that the now Kaliningrad Russian naval & air base was also the 32nd U-boat training flotilla's base. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/32nd_U-boat_Flotilla (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/32nd_U-boat_Flotilla) "in April 1944 under the command of Fregattenkapitan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fregattenkapitan) Hermann Rigele, a WWI veteran. b.1891-d.1982 age 91! It trained mostly Type XXIII U-boats (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_Type_XXIII_submarine). It was transferred to Hamburg (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamburg) in January 1945, and in March put under the command of Korvettenkapitän (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korvettenkapit%C3%A4n) Ulrich Heyse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulrich_Heyse)." As with several training flotillas, there was apparently no flotilla emblem. :hmmm:
