Need help with the progress bar

Hi all,
I'm not sure what to call it but it's that dark red loading bar at the bottom of a screen when going from one window to another.
It's a dark red color and I don't see very well in the dark anymore and would like to change it to yellow.
I did find a file called, Point.dds with the same color, but changing it to yellow didn't seem to do anything.
Can somebody tell me what it's called and where to find it???

See if this is what you need: Find the DATA, MENU, LOADING folder for whatever version you have. Open Intro_ Logo_ Elem. It's a DDS pic you can edit with Gimp or whatever you have. I saw two tiny colored dots below and to the left of the loading bar. Perhaps those are the ones to change.

Thanks, Captain, but those are some loading screens, not the little dark red animated loading bar.

when you find things like this please tell us how you did it so others trying to do the same thing or thinking about it (like captain dave) can do their game as well. some might want it blue or green but unless you share how you did it the next person (like you) are left having to ask how to do it rather then find it posted in a thread.

just as you use what is shared here the site is all that much better when you also share.

on a side note - did you choose yellow or just pick that color? what I am asking is weather or not you tried out a few different colors to see what looks the best in game, or did you just go with yellow and were happy with the result?

im wondering if orange or pink might also be a good easy to see color because many members here have bad eyesight or might be color blind and this mod would help them

ps - in GFO I brightened up the outline borders for the loading bar because they were very dull grey and hard to see in the stock game.

plus if you adjust your gamma settings in the game options, it makes night time less dark so you can see things better

If anybody wants to change the loading bar color from dark red to their favorite color, go to your game's Data folder and open the Menu folder then the Data folder within it.
(ie: ... Data\Menu\Data)
About half way down are two files, one called, progressbar_fill_texture.dds and the other is progressbar_fill_texture.tga.
Use your favorite graphics editor (Paint.NET in my case) and change their colors to your liking then save 'em.
I don't know why there are two files for this feature but, it is recommend that you change both the .dds & .tga files to exactly the same color whichever color you choose.

I chose yellow because of two reasons actually.
First is because I'm a little hard of seeing and second is that it's my favorite color. :D

I love the Teal color of the Operation Monsun alternate loading screen.

The progress bar in that is change by Intro_logo_bkg.dds

just curious if that was changes you made to the loading screen to say

with
GFO
FJB maps
ISE

not that it matters, but im sure your mod list will vary from time to time so that could get tedious to keep updating

It is your loading screen with my additions added to it. It once read in large white characters, GFO. It is for my benifit only. I may not play for a month or three and this screen will let me know where I stand.
I made the changes to reflect the yellow motif of my progress bar.
Actually, I've saved a .pdn (Paint.NET) file of it so changes will be really easy to make. Did you also notice that I've added , Gold Edition? I don't foresee that I'll post here every time I make a little change, though.

Oh, forgot to mention that I modded the scene.dat file to reflect your smaller rain drops. I believe you said that the rain was the only thing you modded in that file, right?
